We are accepting applications for Summer Ministry Staff to serve from approximately June 9–July 24, 2017. We will begin reviewing applications November 1, 2016.

Camp Counselors work with the Program Assistants under the direction of the Program Director to provide a safe and caring environment for campers. Responsibilities include guiding groups of 6-9 campers through the daily activities and life-changing experiences of camp – caring for the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of the campers. Housekeeping Staff will work with the Housekeeping Director to provide clean, comfort facilities for guests. Responsibilities include cleaning bathrooms, making beds, laundering, vacuuming, etc. View job description.

 

Lifeguards will provide general supervision for both camps and guest groups, working to provide a safe experience by preventing and responding to emergencies at the lakefront.
Responsibilities include maintaining condition of the lakefront property and equipment, and actively monitoring and enforcing rules to ensure the well-being of guests on the lakefront. Proof of a current lifeguard/CPR/AED American Red Cross certification is required. View job description

 

Maintenance Staff will work with the Maintenance Director and Maintenance Staff to maintain the facilities. Responsibilities include upkeep of all CLM buildings and grounds which may include basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and landscaping. View job description.

 

Media Coordinator works with the Program Director to enhance the experience of camp for campers and their parents through online interaction and visual components. Responsibilities include administration of Catalyst Camps’ social media sites (including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest and YouTube), capturing the camp experience through photographs and videos, and creating daily and weekly slide shows for live and online presentation. Program Assistants work with the Program Director to provide leadership for the summer ministry staff and facilitate the daily operations of the camp program. Responsibilities include effectively communicating necessary information, instructing camp activities, and guiding and supporting the summer staff through servant leadership. View job description.

Snack Shop Coordinator works with the Snack Shop Director to provide quality products and service for guests. Responsibilities include inventory and stocking of store merchandise (including camp t-shirts, snacks, gifts and necessary supplies), and maintaining a clean and organized store front and storage. Student Leader participates in the camp program by assisting counselors with daily camper care and work projects. Responsibilities include assisting in the guiding of groups of campers through daily activities and life-changing experiences – assisting in the care for the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of the campers. Camp Nurses (LPN/RN) work with the camp staff to provide a safe and pleasant experience for campers and staff. Certified physicians or nurses provide 24-hour care during each week of summer camp. Responsibilities include dispensing medications as prescribed, caring for campers or staff who develop a sickness or undergo minor injuries, maintaining proper record of medical actions taken, and offering addition supervision during camp activities. Camp Nurse positions are offered on a volunteer basis only. The weekly Camp Nurse (and his or her family) are provided lodging and food. Prospective Camp Nurses are required to show proof of current medical certifications, provide references and pass background checks.
